This is pregnancy number five ladies and gents by agkennedy

BabyI haven’t written about this since I first made that shock announcement on Twitter and so many people asked me at Interpack about the baby. I also noticed how little is written from a man’s point of view. This is pregnancy number five ladies and gents, (no that wasn’t a typo either, it is a figure 5) and it’s most amusing to note that many friends say to us (as opposed to congratulations):

What is it  – a boy or a girl? Do you know? -Translation – hehee I can tell everyone first before it’s born!

Oh, five kids, erm, was it OK? – Translation – did they make a mistake? Are they nuts?

Are they all yours? – Translation – They must be mad taking everyone’s kids round the supermarket

They say nothing or, more worrying, they think that a few were stillborns.

Not many people have actually realised that it’s quite possible to have five kids, be sane and have fun. I feel younger and fitter by the minute. You see, if your wife is going to give birth in two months time, you cannot get used to sitting about. That would be a very foolish thing to get used to, fatal in fact. There is no way I will be sitting down when it is born and for six months after. So it’s all go, get ready and rejuvenate. They say having kids makes you older and if you think that, it probably will. I say it makes you younger. Instead of being like many of my friends who seem to be obsessed with their oncoming 50th birthday parties and how old they are going to be, I am just thinking, Christ get young kiddo, you need to be fit and in shape! So that’s what I am doing.

You are two things, what you think you are and what people perceive you to be. You can’t actually be anything if you are not thought about by either yourself or by anyone else or there is no proof of an existence! Excuse me, gone too deep, coming back, right.

I like to think that if we get it right, people perceive us to be what we think we are. Most of the time they are two completely different things. No wonder there is so much friction in the world. So what on Earth does this have to do with confectionery? Well absolutely nothing and that is why this page seems to have more hits online and is more popular than all the others. Don’t worry, this will not be a monthly baby report but sometimes we are just so excited about something that we seize every opportunity to tell the world. God gave me another kid, is it him or me that’s mad! Depends how you perceive it, right?
